七宝焼きの歴史
古代エジプトが発祥の地と言われている七宝は、エマイユ、エナメル、ファラン、チルボと、それぞれの国によって名称が違いますが、長い年月をかけシルクロードを経て、日本に伝わり現在に至っています。
「七宝」の名は、仏教の経典にある七種類の宝物＜金・銀・瑠璃・硨磲(しゃこ)・瑪瑙(めのう)・真珠・玟瑰(まいかい）＞のことを表し、これらの宝石類をちりばめたかのように美しいということから名づけられたといわれています。
独特の輝きと色彩の深みは長い時を経ても変わらず、記念品やプレゼントにも喜んでいただける美術品・工芸品です。
【The history of Cloisonne ware】
Cloisonne ware, which was born in Ancient Egypt, is called differently “Email”, “Enamel”, “Falang” and “Chirubo” in each country. Through the years, it was brought to Japan along the Silk Road.
The name of “shippō-yaki” expresses the seven kinds of treasures in Buddhist scriptures. And it’s named after that it’s beautiful as if these jewelries are set.
Its unique brightness and its depth of colour don’t change ever after a time long. So it’s the work of art and craft which is good for souvenirs and gifts.
技術
七宝は金・銀・銅などの金属の上にガラス質の釉薬を盛って彩色し、焼き上げる工芸です。
大きく分けて、『有線七宝』と『無線七宝』があります。
○有線七宝
銅や銀などの金属の素地に下絵を描き、下絵の輪郭に沿って細いテープ状の金属線を植えつけて壁を作り、その内側に釉薬をさして金属線と共に焼き付けたもの
○無線七宝
表面に金属線を使用使わずに釉薬を盛り焼成する方法と、
有線七宝と同様にして釉薬を盛り、焼成前に金属線を取り除く方法があります。
【Technology】
Cloisonne ware is the handicraft that enamel work was done on a metal base like gold, silver, and copper. Basically there are two kinds, “Wired Cloisnne” and “Wireless Cloisinne”.
〈Wired Cloisonne〉
The technique is that firstly we paint a rough sketch on a metal base like copper or silver, secondly we put a thin tape-like metal wire on the sketch border and make a wall, and then put a glaze inside the wall and glaze with the wire.
〈Wireless Cloisonne〉
There are two ways, one way to glaze on the surface without a metal wire, and the other way to glaze in the same way as “Wired Cloisonne” and remove a metal wire before firing.

| プロフィール | ・島根県安来市出身 ・二十歳の頃、ガラスが火によって溶け美しい色と形を創り出す面白さに魅せられ、七宝焼きを学び始める ・大久保敏秀氏に師事 ・1979年 家業のレストラン・トリムの開店と共に店内に七宝教室「まゆみ七宝工房」を開く ・1981年岡垣幸得七宝研究所の門下生となり、七宝技術だけでなく芸術・デザインといった幅広い分野を研究し、立体平面作品の創作を始める ・日本七宝作家協会展、中国七宝協会展、島根県展、海外等の展覧会に出展し多数受賞する ・現在も地域の婦人会、福祉施設、PTAや子供たちの総合教育の中で参加体験学習の指導に取り組んでいる。 |
【Profile】
・Name: Mayumi Nozaka
・Birth place: Yasugi City, Shimane Prefecture
・When she was 20, she started to learn “Cloisonne ware” because she was charmed with the interest that glasses are melt by fire and create the beautiful colour and the shape.
・She syudied under Toshihide Okubo.
・In 1979, her family business, the restaurant Torimu was opened, and at the same time she opened the Cloisonne ware lessons “Mayumi Shippo Crafts” inside the restaurant.
・In 1981, she became a disciple of Okagaki Sachie Shippo Institute and studied not only cloisonne technology but also a wide range of fields like essay on art dimensional planar work.
・Her works were shown at Japan Enamelling Artist Association, Chugoku Enamelling Association, Shimane Art exhibition and exhibitions overseas, and many were awarded.
・She has a lecture of hands-on learning among general education for women’s association of regional, welfare facilities, PTA and children.
